If you’re new to acting or have limited practice and want to seriously boost your skills and experience: welcome to Intro To Acting!

Ticket info here http://actingsummerschool.eventbrite.com/

The Intro To Acting is a two-day course created for people with limited or no experience of acting, who want to build confidence and learn in a fun, constructive and developmental environment.

The two days are intensive, challenging, fun and of course, interactive. We help you to relax while building confidence – as well as helping you develop a greater understanding of acting. In just two days, you’ll build a strong foundation of techniques and skills.

This tailored, small-group course will run from 10am – 4pm each day, with a lunch break where our host, Future Artists at venue The Black Lion will provide lunch, teas, coffees and juice.

Intro To Acting will run on the 25th & 26th August, with further dates in 22ndand 23rd September, and the 20th and 21st October.

At the conclusion of this weekend you will be able to:

+ Create a three dimensional character

+ Create performance through devising, improvisation and script

+ Understand the basic process of acting

+ Perform with greater confidence and belief

The techniques you will learn on this course are appropriate for screen or stage work.

It’s a great way to spend a weekend – productively – working on character, movement and voice. Darren R L Gordon will teach the class. Darren is an established actor and assistant director who teaches classes across the UK and is a preferred tutor at Channel 4.

Testimonial from a recently graduated student:

“Just to say how thoroughly I enjoyed the 2 day acting workshop. What a revelation and one that really has changed my perspective on life for the better. A perfect stress buster as I operated in my ‘stretch zone for the full 48 hours.’ Something I’ve not done in a long while – my brain really does feel alive, and I have a certain zest that I had been lacking of late.”

This is a two-day intensive and the course fee is £99, special early bird offer £70 details here

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate in an exclusive presentation ceremony with a celebrity guest.

There is an early bird offer at £70.

If you are aged 16 – 18 then this course is a great grounding for A-Levels and B-TEC courses! The certificate is a good addition to a flourishing CV.

All participants would be eligible for references from Darren.
